- 3/4 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 325°.

2Grease and flour 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Beat all ingredients in large bowl at low speed until blended. Increase speed to medium and beat for 3 minutes.

3Pour batter into pan and bake 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.

4Cool on wire rack.

5Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
