Commander'S Garlic Bread

- 1 loaf French bread, about 14 inches long
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter (One stick)
- 2 garlic cloves, mashed to a puree
- 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh dill
- 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2Slice bread lengthwise.

3Melt butter in a small skillet, add garlic, and heat gently for two minutes.

4Brush the melted butter generously on the cut sides of the bread halves; sprinkle with the dill and cheese.

5Bake until golden and very hot, 5 to 8 minutes.

6Cut each half crosswise into 1 inch slices and serve immediately with appetizers, salads, or soups.
