Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 4 c. plain flour
- pinch of baking powder
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 or more Tbsp. sweet milk
- sprinkle of salt
Directions

1Sift sugar, flour, baking powder and salt together.

2Work into soft butter and milk.

3Make into a ball.

4Put into a Ziploc bag. Beat with mallet 200 strokes.

5Take out and divide into 4 balls. Roll each ball between wax paper.

6Roll very thin.

7Cut in strips. Bake at 325°.

8Do not let it brown.

9While still warm, cut into bite size pieces.

10Pack in airtight box.

11Save 2 or 3 long strips for pastor to use in the service.

12Recipe makes enough for Pisgah. Very old recipe, used at Pisgah for many years.
