  • 3 egg whites
  • 18 soda crackers
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 or 4 Tbsp. any kind of preserves
  • coconut
  • cool whip

Directions

    Beat egg whites until foamy. Add cream of tartar and beat until stiff. Add sugar and beat again. Roll crackers until fine, chop nuts and add both. Add vanilla and put in greased pie pan. Bake for 25 minutes at 350. Let cool. Spread preserves over this. Spread cool whip over preserves and sprinkle top with coconut.
