Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef or chuck
  • 2 tsp. parsley
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans whole tomatoes (undrained)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 lb. sliced Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tsp. basil
  • 4 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 10 oz. pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 2 (12 oz.) cartons cream-style cottage cheese or Ricotta
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Cook beef until browned, stirring to crumble.

    Drain well.

    Add garlic, parsley, basil, tomato paste and tomatoes.

    Simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Cook noodles according to package directions; drain.

    Combine eggs, cottage cheese, pepper and Parmesan cheese.

    Stir well.

    Spread 1/2 cup meat mixture into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.

    Layer noodles, cheese mixture, Mozzarella and meat sauce.

    Repeat as desired.

    Cover and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

    Let stand 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
