Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. dried prunes or figs
  • 1/2 c. Amontillado sherry
  • 1 large can (1 lb. 14 oz.) whole apricots, in syrup
  • 1 c. syrup (from canned apricots)
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice (optional)
  • 1 generous tsp. grated orange rind
  • 2 oranges, peeled and sectioned

Directions

    Simmer the prunes or figs in the sherry and apricot syrup for several minutes.

    Add the cinnamon, allspice (if used) and orange rind.

    Simmer 15 minutes.

    Add the drained apricots and orange sections.

    Chill.

    Serve in goblets.
