- 2/3 c. margarine
- 1 lb. light brown sugar
- 2 2/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. broken pecans
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Directions

1Melt margarine and cool.

2Add brown sugar and vanilla and beat in eggs, one at a time.

3Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.

4Add to sugar mixture, stirring well, then add chocolate chips and pecans, mixing well.

5Bake in a 13 x 9-inch greased and floured pan at 350° for about 25 minutes (underbake).

6Cool and cut into squares.
