- 2/3 c. butter or margarine
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 lb. dark brown sugar
- 2 3/4 c. flour
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 c. nuts
Directions

1Melt butter in 1 1/2-quart saucepan; add brown sugar.

2Mix well; remove from heat and let it cool (chips will melt if not cooled).

3Add 1 egg at a time and mix well.

4Add nuts and chips. Add flour and mix well.

5Place mixture in large oblong pan, at least 9 x 13-inch or slightly larger.

6Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool and cut into bars; remove from pan.
