Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 c. sifted flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. oleo
  • 2 1/4 c. light brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 small pkg. chocolate chips

Directions

    Sift the flour, baking powder and salt.

    Set aside.

    Beat softened oleo and sugar until fluffy.

    Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well.

    Add dry ingredients; mix.

    Add nuts and chocolate bits.

    Bake in a jelly roll pan (greased) at 350° for 20 minutes. Take out when bars look undercooked.

    Cut into squares when almost cool.
