- 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 lb light brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 12 ounces chocolate or 12 ounces carob chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions

1Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat.

2Remove from heat and stir in sugar.

3Stir in eggs, one at a time.

4Stir in sifted dry ingredients.

5Add chocolate chips and nuts.

6Bake in greased bar pan in 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes.

7When cool, cut into bars.
