  • 1 lb thickly sliced bacon
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp ground black pepper

    Preheat oven to 425

    lay bacon on a parchment line cookie sheet, and brush with 2 tbsps maple syrup.

    Dust with pepper.

    Bake for 10 mins or til fat has rendered.

    Turn bacon over and brush with remaining 2 tbsps maple syrup and bake another 10 t0 12 mins or until crisp and carmelized.

    Serve on top of 'double souffles with cheddar'
