- 10 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 lb brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 12 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 12 ounces chocolate chips
- 12 cup pecans
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2Grease 10 x 15 inch pan.

3In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.

4Set aside.

5In large bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy.

6Add vanilla and one egg at a time, beating well after each egg.

7Stir in flour mixture and blend well.

8Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.

9Spread evenly in pan.

10Bake until top is lightly browned, about 30 minutes.

11Transfer to wire rack to cool.

12Cut into bars.

13Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
