- 2 2/3 c. flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 1 lb. brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 small bag chocolate chips (6 oz.)
Directions

1Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt.

2Melt shortening and stir in brown sugar.

3Let sugar mixture cool and beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour mixture and chocolate bits.

4Pour into greased 10 1/2 x 15 1/2-inch cookie sheet.

5Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool, then cut in squares.
