Ingredients
- 2 3/4 c. sifted flour
- 2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 2 1/4 c. brown sugar (1 lb. pkg.)
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. nuts, broken or chopped
- 1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
Directions

1Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt.

2Melt shortening and add brown sugar.

3Stir until well mixed.

4Allow to cool slightly.

5Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

6Add dry ingredients, then nuts and chocolate.

7Pour into a greased 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 x 3/4-inch pan (about).

8Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
