  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 2 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 2 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. chocolate morsels
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Directions

    Melt margarine in large saucepan.

    Stir in brown sugar. Remove from heat and cool for 10 minutes.

    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.

    Beat eggs into sugar mix one at a time and add to flour mixture.

    Add chocolate morsels and chopped nuts.

    Spread in greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.

    Cool, then cut into squares.
