Consomme Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 pork chops
  • 2 cans consomme, undiluted
  • 1 c. raw rice
  • 1 (4 oz.) mushrooms
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • garlic powder to taste
  • 1 Tbsp. onion juice or powder
  • 1 bell pepper (optional)

Directions

    Spray 14 x 9-inch dish with Pam.

    Put in raw rice, consomme, drained mushrooms, parsley, garlic and onion juice.

    Stir.

    Brown pork chops in oil after seasoning with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

    Place undrained pork chops on rice mixture.

    Place bell pepper rings on top of pork chops.

    Cover with foil.

    Bake 40 to 45 minutes in 325° oven.

    Serves 4 to 8 according to number of chops per person.

    Can be assembled and refrigerated for a day prior to baking.
