Cooked Rice Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 qt. milk (2% or whole)
  • 1 c. rice (not instant)
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pt. heavy cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Boil milk, rice and sugar for 10 minutes.

    Cover and simmer 1 hour.

    Beat egg and add heavy cream.

    Beat a little longer.

    Add this to rice mixture and boil 1 minute.

    Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon vanilla.

    Blend and chill.
