Corn And Sausage Chowder

Ingredients
- 1 lb. sausage
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 large potatoes, cubed
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. water
- 16 1/2 oz. can cream-style corn
- 16 1/2 oz. can whole kernel corn (undrained)
- 12 oz. can evaporated milk
Directions

1Crumble sausage in skillet and brown; drain off fat.

2Put sausage into a deep pan.

3Return 2 tablespoons of fat to the pan and saute the onion with the sausage.

4Add the potatoes, salt, pepper, basil and water.

5Cover and simmer 15 minutes.

6Stir in creamed corn, corn and liquid and evaporated milk.

7Cover and heat almost to boiling.

8Serve with French bread and a salad.
