  • 2 Tbsp. meat drippings
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 c. self-rising white corn meal

Directions

    Melt drippings in 10-inch iron skillet in hot oven (425°). Add milk, egg and drippings to corn meal.

    Stir until well blended.

    Pour into hot, prepared skillet.

    Bake in preheated oven at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes.
