- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. yellow corn meal
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1/3 c. vegetable oil
- 1 egg
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°.

2Grease an 8-inch square pan (you may use Pam).

3Combine flour, corn meal, sugar, baking powder and salt.

4Set aside.

5Combine milk, oil and egg in small bowl until blended.

6Stir milk mixture into flour mixture just until moistened.

7Spreading evenly, spoon batter quickly into prepared pan.

8Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.

9Cut into squares.
