- 1 1/2 c. corn meal
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1Sift together flour and cornmeal.

2Cream together sugar, salt, butter and eggs.

3Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Add soda with last portion of the buttermilk.

4Bake at 350° in a greased 13 x 9-inch pan until golden brown.
