- 2 eggs
- 1 3/4 c. milk
- 2 1/2 c. self-rising corn meal
- 1 tsp. sugar (optional)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. melted shortening or oil
Directions

1Beat eggs well.

2Stir in milk. Stir in corn meal, sugar and salt. Bake in preheated 450° oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned.

3Cut into squares and serve hot with butter or margarine.
