  • 1/4 c. minced onion
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 qt. lightly packed cornbread crumbs
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 3 Tbsp. minced parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Simmer minced onion in butter in large skillet until tender. Combine in a bowl cornbread crumbs, salt, poultry seasoning, celery seed, minced parsley and pepper.

    Add to onion mixture and heat well without browning. Stir frequently.

    This makes enough for a 4 pound bird.
