- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can reduced-sodium chicken broth
- 1 (10 ounce) package frozen whole kernel corn
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 12 cup chopped red pepper
- 18 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated skim milk
- 14 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon snipped fresh parsley (optional)
Directions

1In a medium saucepan combine the broth, corn, onion, sweet pepper, and black pepper.

2Bring to boiling; reduce heat.

3Simmer, uncovered, about 5 minutes or until onion is tender.

4In a small bowl stir together the evaporated milk and flour.

5Stir in broth mixture.

6Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.

7Cook and stir for 1 minute more.

8If desired, sprinkle with fresh parsley.
