- 1 cup flour
- 12 cup flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 12 teaspoons baking powder
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 13 cups milk
- 8 hot dogs
- 8 wooden sticks
Directions

1Preheat oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees.

2In a bowl, add the 1 cup of flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together and mix until well combined.

3Add in milk and egg and stir well until smooth and well blended.

4Set aside.

5Place 1/2 cup flour in a shallow dish.

6Add a skewer to each hotdog.

7Roll in hot dogs in flour, gently shaking off the excess.

8Fill a tall drinking glass with corn dog batter.

9Dip each hotdog into glass of batter while holding the stick, until completely submerged.

10Slowly pull out of batter and carefully lower into hot oil.

11Fry until golden brown, usually 3-5 minutes.

12Drain on paper towels.
