- 3 1/3 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. (3 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
- 1/4 c. hot water
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 pkg. (6 oz.) semi-sweet real chocolate morsels
- 1 1/2 c. corn flakes
Directions

1Preheat oven to 375°.

2Grease 2 cookie sheets.

3Sift flour, baking powder and salt onto wax paper.

4Beat butter and sugar and brown sugar in large bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy.

5Beat in water, egg and vanilla.

6Gradually stir in flour mixture.

7Gently stir in chocolate morsels and corn flakes.

8Drop mixture by heaping teaspoonfuls 1 inch apart onto prepared cookie sheets.

9Bake in oven for 5 minutes or until cookies are set and golden brown.

10Cool on cookie sheets several minutes.

11Transfer to wire rack; cool completely.

12Store in tightly covered container.
