  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 6 3/4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 5/8 cups plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 5 5/8 cups cornflakes

Directions

    Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

    Beat the butter and sugar until creamy. Add the egg, and beat again.

    Add the flour and the baking powder, mix well.

    Add the flakes, and mix gently with a spoon in half a dozen laps.

    With a teaspoon, remove small portions of dough, and place slightly apart on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

    Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden.

    Remove, and cool on a wire grid. When cooled, store in an airtight container.
