- 1 (1 lb.) can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1/4 c. milk
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. flour
- 2 tsp. melted butter
- fat for deep frying
Directions

1Mix egg, salt, milk, flour, baking powder, butter and sugar. Stir with long-handled wooden spoon.

2Add corn; let sit 5 minutes. Drop by teaspoons into hot fat; cook until puffy and golden brown.

3Drain on paper toweling; transfer to warm platter.

4Yields 4 to 6 servings.
