Corn Fritters With Honey

  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. cake flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 (12 oz.) can while kernel corn, drained
  • vegetable oil
  • honey

Directions

    Beat egg until light; add milk and melted butter.

    Sift the flours, baking powder, salt and sugar together.

    Add to egg mixture.

    Add the drained corn; mix well.

    Refrigerate batter for at least 2 hours.

    Drop by tablespoon into deep hot fat (375°) and fry 3 to 5 minutes.

    Fry only 4 or 5 fritters at a time.

    Drain on paper towels.

    Serve with warm honey.
