  • 1 1/2 c. corn meal
  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 6 level tsp. baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 egg
  • salt
  • milk

Directions

    Combine corn meal, flour and baking powder.

    Add shortening, egg and enough milk to make a soft dough.

    Stir well.

    Spoon into oiled muffin tin.

    Bake at 325° for approximately 30 minutes. Makes 1 dozen.
