- 2 c. yellow corn meal
- 2 Tbsp. wheat bran (add fiber to your diet and browns better when you fry it)
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. cold water
- 6 c. hot water
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Combine first 3 ingredients.

2Add cold water and mix.

3Add butter and hot water.

4Boil 5 minutes, then turn heat on low. Cover and cook 10 minutes.

5Remove from heat and pour in 6 x 9 1/2-inch cake pan.

6When cold, slice and fry or eat it hot with brown sugar and milk.
