- 2 c. sweet milk
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. sifted meal
- 2 eggs
- 1 cake yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 5 c. plain flour
Directions

1Bring milk to boil, quickly add shortening, salt, sugar and meal; stir and cook until mixture thickens (5 minutes) and cool. Add well beaten eggs, dissolve yeast in warm water and stir into mixture.

2Add flour, mix well and put in refrigerator to chill. Remove after 1 hour.

3Add enough flour to handle.

4Shape into rolls.

5Place in greased muffin pans.

6Let rise 40 minutes, then bake at 450° for 10 to 15 minutes.

7Makes a lot.
