  • 3/4 c. cornmeal
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 4 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 c. milk
  • 4 Tbsp. melted shortening

Directions

    Add dry ingredients.

    Combine beaten egg, milk and shortening. Pour into dry ingredients.

    Stir, do not beat, until moistened. Fill muffin cups 3/4 full.
