Ingredients

  • 3 c. cut corn
  • 5 c. ground cucumbers
  • 3 c. ground onions
  • 3 c. chopped celery
  • 2 hot peppers, ground (optional)
  • 2 sweet peppers (red and green), ground
  • 1 1/2 qt. water
  • 3/4 c. salt
  • 1 qt. white vinegar
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 1 Tbsp. celery seed

Directions

    Combine first 8 ingredients and let stand overnight, then drain.

    Heat vinegar, sugar, mustard seed and celery seed to boiling, then add vegetables.

    Bring to boil and cook slowly for 10 minutes.

    Put in pint jars and seal.

    Makes 5 pints.
