  • 1 c. corn meal
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 to 4 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dried minced onions
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Put oil in iron skillet; put skillet in oven while preheating to 375°.

    Meanwhile, mix other ingredients in bowl.

    When oven is heated, remove skillet; pour excess oil in cornbread mixture and mix.

    Pour mix into skillet and bake 20 to 25 minutes at 375°.
