- 1 1/4 c. corn meal
- 1 egg
- 1 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. oil or bacon drippings
Directions

1Put oil in iron skillet in hot oven (425° to 450°) to melt. Do not burn.

2Mix dry ingredients well. Add milk and egg.

3Mix well. Add hot oil.

4Mix.

5Flour skillet and pour in bread mixture. Bake until brown, about 20 to 25 minutes.
