- 1 pkg. Martha White Mexican cornbread mix
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 can creamed corn
- 1 lb. ground beef or 1 lb. hot sausage
- 1 onion, chopped
- 12 oz. shredded mild Cheddar cheese
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
Directions

1Mix cornbread mix, buttermilk, eggs, flour and corn together and set aside.

2Brown meat, onion and bell pepper.

3Drain.

4Pour 1/2 of corn bread mix into an 8 x 8-inch baking dish.

5Spread evenly.

6Top with meat mixture; spread evenly.

7Top with cheese. Pour remaining corn bread mix over top.

8Bake at 350°
