- 1/4 c. margarine
- 2 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. grated American cheese
- 1 1/2 c. self-rising corn meal
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 (16 oz.) can cream-style corn
- 1/4 c. oil
- 1/4 c. milk
- 8 oz. sour cream
Directions

1Cook onion in margarine until tender.

2Mix meal, sugar, corn, oil and milk.

3Pour this in a well-greased baking dish.

4Sprinkle black pepper on corn meal mixture.

5Pour onion mixed with sour cream on top of cornbread.

6Sprinkle grated cheese on top and bake at 400° for 25 to 30 minutes.
