- 5 lb. well-trimmed beef corned brisket
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 medium onion, quartered
- 1 medium head green cabbage, cut into 8 wedges
Directions

1Place meat in large kettle; cover with cold water.

2Add garlic and onion; heat to boiling.

3Reduce heat; cover tightly and simmer 3 1/2 hours or until tender.

4Place meat on platter and keep warm. Skim fat from liquid.

5Add cabbage; simmer 15 minutes, uncovered. Carve meat in thin, diagonal slices across grain.
