  • 4 pie crust shells
  • 1 lb. round steak, cut in 1/2-inch cubes
  • 2 large carrots, sliced or 1 c. rutabaga, cubed
  • 4 Tbsp. margarine
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 c. raw potato, cubed
  • 1 large onion

Directions

    Preheat oven to 425°.

    Place 1 cup potato, 1/4 of the rutabaga or carrots, 1/4 of the round steak, 1/4 of the raw onion, 1 tablespoon butter and salt and pepper on half of unbaked pie shell. Fold over.

    Seal by moistening edge.

    Bake at 425° for 12 minutes; lower to 350°. Bake 1 hour longer.
