- 5 1/3 c. dry milk
- 1/4 c. buttermilk
- 1 gal. less 1 c. warm water
Directions

1Mix ingredients together and set aside for 18 to 24 hours or until mixture clabbers.

2Stir, then heat 20 to 30 minutes over low heat.

3Stir occasionally.

4After whey separates, strain off from curds; discard whey.

5Mix in 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 to 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine while curds are warm.

6Serve immediately or chill before serving.
