- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. cold margarine
- 1 c. cottage cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- melted butter or margarine
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in warm water.

2In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, oregano and salt.

3Mix well.

4Cut in cold margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

5Blend in cheese, egg and yeast. Turn out on well floured surface.

6Knead.

7Shape into ball.

8Place in well-greased bowl.

9Brush top with melted margarine; cover. Let rise until doubled.

10Punch down.

11Shape as desired.

12Brush with melted margarine; cover.

13Let rise again until nearly doubled.

14Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.

15Serve warm.

16Yield: 1 1/2 to 2 dozen.
