  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 pt. stock or water
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lb. cooked ground meat
  • 1 lb. potatoes
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • milk

Directions

    Fry onion and first 2 tablespoons of butter.

    Stir in flour. Add stock gradually until mixture thickens.

    Season.

    Add meat. Place mixture in well-greased pie dish.

    Boil potatoes.

    Mash with remaining margarine and milk.

    Spread over meat mixture. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes.

    Serves 3 to 4.
