- 1 1/2 lb. beef stew, cut in thin strips
- 1/4 c. plain flour
- 2 Tbsp. Crisco oil
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Heat beef with flour.

2Heat oil in heavy, 3-quart saucepan and add beef and onions and brown.

3Stir in salt, pepper, soup, evaporated milk and water.

4Bring to a boil; reduce heat.

5Cover and cook 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
