- 1 (3 to 3 1/2 lb.) chicken
- 1/4 c. flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- fat (enough to brown the chicken)
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 green peppers, finely chopped
- 2 stalks celery or celery salt
- 3 cans tomatoes
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp. curry powder
- 1/2 tsp. chopped parsley
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 2 c. hot cooked rice
- 1 can slivered almonds
- 1/4 c. raisins
Directions

1Remove skin from the chicken pieces and coat with mixture of next three ingredients.

2Cook in fat in heavy skillet, browning on all sides.

3Remove chicken and keep hot.

4Cook onions, pepper and garlic in the same skillet, stirring until lightly browned.

5Mix the next ingredients with the tomatoes and simmer (this can be done first, if you like, while the other is cooking).
