  • 1/2 c. butter
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 fryer, cut up
  • 1 c. raw long grain rice
  • 2 1/2 c. water
  • 1 (1 1/4 oz.) pkg. dry onion soup mix

Directions

    Melt butter in a deep, flat dish. Salt and pepper the chicken lightly; roll in the melted butter and arrange in a single layer in the dish. Sprinkle rice over chicken and add water slowly; sprinkle onion soup mix over rice. Cover tightly and bake a 350° for 1 1/2 hours.
