Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 c. sliced onion (1 large)
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck or round
- 1 (1 lb. 13 oz.) tomatoes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 can (about 1 lb.) red kidney beans, drained
- 2 c. cubed, pared potatoes
Directions

1Cook bacon until crisp; drain on paper towels.

2Crumble; reserve.

3Saute onion, green pepper and garlic in bacon drippings until tender.

4Add ground beef; cook until well browned, breaking up with fork as it cooks.

5Add tomatoes, salt, pepper and chili powder.

6Cover; simmer 30 minutes.

7Add vegetables; simmer 15 minutes.

8Sprinkle with bacon.
