- 1 lb. crabmeat, picked over
- 1/2 c. fine fresh bread crumbs
- 1/3 c. melted and cooled butter
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 1/4 c. minced celery
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- salt to taste
Directions

1Combine all ingredients.

2Form into 2 1/2-inch cakes.

3Chill, covered loosely, for 30 minutes.

4In large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat until foaming.

5Cook crab cakes for 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
