Ingredients
- 1 (1 lb.) can backfin crabmeat
- 1 stick butter
- 1 qt. milk
- 1 Tbsp. finely chopped parsley
- 2 heaping Tbsp. finely chopped celery
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 6 to 8 drops Tabasco sauce
- 2 tsp. flour
Directions

1Remove any shells from crabmeat.

2In top of double boiler or microwave, melt butter.

3Add milk, parsley, celery, salt, pepper, Tabasco sauce and crabmeat.

4Heat about 15 minutes but do not allow to boil.

5Mix flour with little cold water to make paste, add to hot mixture and stir until it begins to thicken and add the cream and stir well.

6Allow soup to simmer over hot water in double boiler for 20 minutes but do not allow to boil; stir occasionally.

7Serve with saltines or Club crackers.
