  • 6 qt. popped corn
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. burnt sugar flavoring
  • 1 tsp. soda

Directions

    Mix brown sugar, oleo, salt and sugar flavoring in heavy saucepan; boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in soda.

    Pour over popped corn, mixing thoroughly.

    Pour onto two cookie sheets with sides. Bake in a 350° oven for 1 hour, stirring often with wooden spoon. Take from oven and separate while still warm.

    Let cool. Keep in closed container; stays crisp.

    Roasted nuts can be added to popped corn.
